from a hectic life to peace,

from injustice to justice,

from indifference to active enquiry,

We must pass from our world to the solace of your breast,

from our loneliness to your company...

It is the time to enter the night without fear,

to cross cities and towns,

to burn our old possessions and buy new wine,

to stay in the heart of the world,

to create in the midst of darkness and thunder,

It is the hour of a new life!

It is the time to get up from sleep,

to go out onto the balcony of life,

to look at both the corners and the horizon,

to lean out over the infinite even though it gives us vertigo,

to announce, sing and proclaim,

it is the h our of a new life!

It is the time to break with our usual schemes,

to listen to the words of silence,

to close our eyes to see better,

to enjoy your silent presence,

to wander through the deserts,

it is the hour of a new life!

It is the time to wake up at dawn,

to discover your presence amongst us,

to start walking new paths,

to trek with confidence

to cross to the other bank,

It is the hour of a new life!

It is the time to acknowledge life,

to talk few words but live a lot,

to risk every thing placing all our bets on Him,

of sitting down at table and warming our hearts,

of hoping against all hope,

It is the hour of a new life!

It is the time for the passage of God in our world

washing the feet and the most intimate wounds,

drawing near to our miseries and infusing hope,

raising lives that have fallen or been knocked over,

filling our empty saddlebags with new seeds,
