We present, together with the bread and wine which recharges our batteries, the petitions of our brothers from all over the world and also our own:

So that your food, which we share in every eucharist, makes us dynamic, optimistic, bold and strong to go on being your followers with a happy face, cheerful expression and vital enthusiasm, just like the first Christians.

Make us good disciples, imitating your example, Lord,

So that we know how to manage our emotions and banish anger, cut short the moments when we feel cross, mitigate our criticism and resentment.

Make us good disciples, imitating your example, Lord,

So that all Christians can live the spirit of the beatitudes, being happy, merciful, compassionate and dedicated to the common good.

Make us good disciples, imitating your example, Lord,

For all those dedicated to a contemplative life and for all those distracted with other gods who do not have time to contemplate you.

Make us good disciples, imitating your example, Lord,

For all those who whilst still on holiday, live thinking of their fellows and show their solidarity by spending part of their life so that others can live better.

Make us good disciples, imitating your example, Lord,

Hear our prayers and start, little by little, changing our hearts to make them more like you. Amen.
